papPaulie Ayala Productions (PAP) recently announced that they will promote this years “Boxing at the Ballroom”, a six-bout boxing card benefiting the Boys and Girls Clubs.  The event will take place at the regal Renaissance Worthington Hotel in downtown Fort Worth on Aug. 27.

Long-held as one of North Texas’ most entertaining events, “Boxing at the Ballroom” offers up an exciting night of live boxing set against the festive backdrop of the Boys and Girls Clubs annual black-tie fundraisers.  This year seems to mark no deviance from its sterling reputation as PAP will feature some of North Texas’ most respected and exciting fighters.

Former heavyweight title challenger Kirk Johnson will appear on the card as will fan favorites Americo Santos and Rafael Casias.  Rising middleweight prospect Corey Washington is also slated to appear on the card in a highly competative bout against the returning Joey Dunmoodie.  In addition to the pugilistic action, a Muay Thai bout, and female boxing bout, are also rumored to be featured.

Headed by former two-time world champion Paulie Ayala, PAP was established to create exciting boxing events showcasing the most talented boxers in highly competitive matches. Their stated goal of these events will be primarily to promote and foster the strong boxing tradition and talented fighters of North Texas.

It promises to be a great night of fights, and best of all, it’s all for a great cause.
