In what has rapidly become a biannual tradition in North Texas, Premier Boxing Club will hold their sixth annual Spring Break Tournament this weekend in Fort Worth.  Amateur boxing is red hot these days in the DFW, and you would be hard pressed to find a better tournament to get your boxing fix than this one.  This tournament has it all, great matchups, great crowds, and a great atmosphere.  Best of all, proceeds benefit the boxing program there at the Sycamore Recreational Center.  That’s a win-win situation in my book.

What:  Premier Boxing Club presents their 6th Annual Spring Break Tournament

Where: Sycamore Community Center - 2525 East Rosedale, Fort Worth, TX 76105

When: March 20, 2010 and March 21, 2010

Time: Bouts start at 1:00 PM on both days.

Cost: Ages 5-12 = $5, 13 and up = $10

Why You Should Go:  Because you will not find a more humble and dedicated guy than Premier Boxing Club founder and trainer Ricky Sanchez.  Sanchez saw that the boys and girls in North Texas were not getting to compete in enough tournaments so he did what few would; he set about rectifying the problem.  To date, Sanchez’s efforts have paid dividends and this tournament, along with their Fall tourney, are two of the most respected and anticipated events here in North Texas.
