The last time I saw Miguel Buendia (7-1, 4KO’s) it was only three short months ago when he knocked out the tough Abraham Esquivel (4-2) in the fifth round. Buendia is coming into this fight after two consecutive knockouts and appears to be in great shape according to his own statement on our own Combat Sports TV interview. He is also coming into this fight after being part of the NTF 2011 Boxing Fight of The Year with his fight against the all-out slugger and killer left hook artist, Fernando Rodriguez (6-9).
This time the “Fighting Marine” will be part of the main event on the card and he will face Angel “El Picosito” Rodriguez (5-7, 4KO‘s) at the Fort Worth Convention Center this Saturday night in Fort Worth, Texas. Rodriguez’ last fight was at the Winstar where he put on a slugfest against the undefeated Jesse Roman (8-0) on the undercard of
Don’t let Rodriguez’ record fool you, this fighter comes to fight and fights straight up and moving forward all the time. This will be an exciting fight for the fans, because Buendia also moves forward and he does not waste any punches. He has a great jab and boxing skills in addition to a knockout punch. Speaking of knockout punches, both fighters have the equal amount of knockouts, so anything could happen. So get ready boxing fans, it’s going to be an all-out slugfest.
